Joaquin Boker is the CEO and the Head of the Regional Platform North America responsible for Finance, HR, Legal and Compliance. Previously he was the CFO for North America and the global controller for the business area Material Services with over $10 billion in revenue. Before joining thyssenkrupp in 2005, he served as CFO for Henkel Group Laundry and home care businessesin Russia. Boker was also a senior finance advisor for the $300 million “Small Business Fund” of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, running the fund in Siberia and the Far East to supply financing to local companies. He began his career in banking, working for Citigroup and Deutsche Bank.Born and raised in Mexico, earned a degree in finance and accounting from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. He is fluent in German, Spanish, English and Russian.
